Smart Architectural Aluminium has made a donation of £3,500 to Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW). The company made its first contribution to the charity more than 15 years ago, and has made regular donations at Christmas ever since.

Sarah Heppenstall, Corporate Fundraiser at CHSW said: “We are so grateful for the ongoing support from Smart Architechtural Systems and the incredible the amount that they have donated over the last 15 years. Our corporate supporters are very generous around Christmas and this enables us to keep our services available to those who need it throughout the festive season including our 24 hour telephone support, even on Christmas Day.”

Presenting Sarah with the cheque for £3,500, Smart’s CFO, Mark West, said: “This is a charity close to many people’s hearts at Smart and I was privileged to present a cheque for £3,500 to Sarah on behalf of the whole business. In total, we have now donated around £35,000 to CHSW over the years and are both extremely proud to support this fantastic organisation, and incredibly grateful for the work they do in communities like ours across the south west.”

CHSW provides the only hospice care in the South West for children with life-limiting conditions. This means that these children are not expected to survive into adulthood. The charity’s three hospices, Little Bridge House in Devon, Little Harbour in Cornwall and Charlton Farm in North Somerset provide respite care and support for those children and their families who have to cope with the most difficult of situations.
