Building on the proven success of Smart’s established Visoglide sliding door system, the company has now expanded the range with the introduction of new products and product upgrades. With three distinct products now featuring in the Visoglide portfolio, customers can choose between different aesthetic and performance options.

Every Visoglide door meets the requirements of Part L of the Building Regulations, with each door combining contemporary styling with outstanding performance. The doors are perfect for sliding commercial entrances where large opening apertures are required, or as a statement feature in residential properties, where the doors maximise light and provide unimpeded panoramic views.

Visoglide Plus delivers U-values down to 1.1 W/m2K

The ultimate large format sliding door, the enhanced Visoglide Plus door has been developed to meet the requirements of the 2025 Building Regulations and Future Homes Standards, with the system having been upgraded to deliver enhanced thermal performance and weather resistance. With U-values as low as 1.1 W/m2K (depending on profile selection and when used with a 0.7 centre pane), the typical U-value for Visoglide Plus is now just 1.4 W/m2K when installed with a suitable sealed unit.

Visoglide Plus and Visoglide Hybrid both meet the requirments of PAS 24 and both feature Smart’s innovative co-extruded glazing gasket, which means the profiles and beads are supplied with the glazing gasket pre-extruded into the profile, enabling fast and efficient fabrication and installation.

Visoglide Hybrid also provides a great combination of strength, elegance and performance, with the new system incorporating the original Visoglide outer frame and achieving U-values of 1.6W/m²K.

The range is completed by Visoglide Original, an improvement on the classic Visoglide system which has featured in projects across the length and breadth of the UK. Representing outstanding value, the highly competitive Visoglide Original sliding door offers proven performance, reliability and security, with U-values of 1.6W/m²K.Commenting on the product launch, Smart’s Managing Director, Dean Thomas, said: “Combining the benefits of a large glazed area which allows light to flood in to an internal space, with an easy-opening operation, Visoglide delivers the perfect combination of high quality, security and outstanding performance.

“Now with the enhancements we have made to Visoglide Plus and the introduction of Visoglide Hybrid, customers have even greater choice, with the ability to select the most appropriate product for each individual project to meet their performance and aesthetic requirments.”

The range is completed by an extensive list of options, including the choice of inline sliding or lift and slide opening, a slim interlock option, a range of hardware and single or dual colour formats in Smarts extensive palette of colours and finishes.
