Smart at Ecobuild 2012

Stand N210, Ecobuild, 20-22 March 2012

Smart Architectural Aluminium has announced that they are to exhibit at this year’s Ecobuild Exhibition, held at London Excel from 20th to 22nd March.

Ecobuild has grown quickly over the last few years to become the world’s leading event dedicated to promoting all aspects of sustainable construction. Last year the event attracted over 60,000 key decision makers from across the construction industry.

This will be the first time that the South West based systems supplier has been involved with the show, so why choose to this year to exhibit?

Eddie Robinson, Smart’s Managing Director explains. ‘Like Ecobuild, Smart has grown a great deal in the last two years. This event provides an ideal platform to talk to the industry about where we are now and where we are planning to be in the future. We have three strong messages that are very relevant to both sustainable building and the Ecobuild audience. First is our corporate commitment towards the environment and to work towards a 100% carbon neutral production operation. Second, the energy efficiency savings our products offer through improved thermal performance, and lastly is the sustainable nature of aluminium as a construction material.’

‘As a leading systems supplier, we fully recognise our responsibility towards protecting the environment and also to minimising the impact of our activities. We take this commitment very seriously, which is why we are the first systems company to operate and maintain ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and BS OHAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety accreditations.’

Smart will also be exhibiting a selection of their latest energy efficient profile systems. Among these will be Greenstar, an ultra low U value commercial window capable of achieving a U value of 1.0 W/m²K.

Visitors will also be able to view the Alitherm 800 W.E.R. ‘A’ rated window. The Evolution steel replacement window that is ideal for large scale heritage applications.
