Macassar:  is a Balustrade System designed as a lightweight hand railing, it should be noted that this system is not designed as a barrier against falling* or as a structural barrier. The Macassar system should only be used as a aesthetic Barrier or hand rail without a drop not as a saftey barrier.
The system can only be used as saftey a barrier when the fabricator has completed independent testing and reassurances that the system, brackets and fixings are all suitable for the actual design loads, typically 1.5kN/m² and comply with the necessary legislation.
 
*BS6180:1995 states that a barrier must be used on a drop greater than 380m

• Various profiles and connection brackets which can be used to form an infinite variety of rails and balustrades.
• On glazed panels there is no need to drill the glass and adjustments can be made on site.
• There are different connection brackets to suit each installation requirement.
